Tour Details:
Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your Istanbul hotel around 04:00 AM and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Konya. Upon arrival, meet your professional guide and begin a half-day exploration of this historic city, known as the spiritual heart of Anatolia.
The tour starts at the Mevlana Museum, the mausoleum of the great Sufi philosopher Rumi and an important pilgrimage site. Continue to the elegant Sultan Selim Mosque, followed by a traditional Turkish lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, visit Alaettin Hill, home to the historic Alaaddin Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Turkey and a significant Seljuk monument. You will also see remnants of the Seljuk Palace and admire the architectural details of the Karatay Medrese and the Tomb of Shams-i Tabrizi, Rumi’s spiritual mentor.
Following the sightseeing program, transfer to the Konya bus terminal for your intercity coach to Cappadocia (approx. 4 hours). Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred to your cave hotel.
